2. Scope and purpose of data processing

This website is a non-commercial fan platform for coordinating in-game activities in the Star Citizen universe. Personal data is processed only to the extent necessary to operate the site, provide user accounts, and enable communication between players.

Typical purposes include:

  • displaying contracts and mission rooms,
  • managing user identities, nicknames, and profiles,
  • handling join requests and participation summaries,
  • displaying notifications and messages, and
  • ensuring the security and stability of the service.

3. Categories of data processed

Depending on how you use the site, the following categories of data may be processed:

  • Technical usage data (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, URL called, HTTP status code, user agent), typically stored in server logs for security and troubleshooting.
  • Profile and identity data (e.g. chosen nickname, linked RSI profile information if you opt in, optional Discord identifiers), used to display your presence on the board.
  • Contract and participation data (e.g. contracts you create or join, seat assignments, participation summaries and ratings), used to provide the contract board functionality.
  • Communication data (e.g. chat messages, notifications), used to enable coordination between players.

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, processing of personal data is based in particular on Article 6(1) lit. b GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures when you create or join contracts) and Article 6(1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interests) for the operation, security, and improvement of the fan project.

5. Cookies and local storage

The site may use cookies or local storage to remember technical preferences (such as language selection) and to maintain your login session. These elements are used only for the operation of the service and not for advertising or tracking across third-party sites.

6. Data recipients and transfers

Personal data is generally processed on servers operated or administrated by the project owner or a hosting provider engaged by the owner. Data is not sold to third parties. If external services such as Discord are used for voice communication, their respective privacy policies apply independently of this site.

Personal data is stored only for as long as is necessary for the purposes described above or as required by applicable law. Log data may be kept for a limited period for security reasons and then deleted or anonymised.
